Focus Endocrinology, Diabetology

  • Thyroid gland diseases: Over and under active (Hyperthyroidism/ Morbus Basedow, Hypothyroidism), hashimoto thyreoiditis, struma nodosa, tumors (follicular, papillary, medullary, anaplastic carcinoma) thyroid gland autonomy

  • Diabetes mellitus, primary and secondary forms

  • Other metabolic diseases: lipometabolic disorders, adipositas, gout, porphyrias

  • Calcium metabolism & bone metabolism: among others osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, Morbus Paget, diseases of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyreoidism, hyperparathyreoidism), disturbances in the calcium-level (hypercalcaemia, hypocalcaemia)

  • Hypophysis & Hypothalamus: Hypophyses insufficiency, adenoma, prolactinoma, acromegaly, M. Cushing, craniopharyngeoma, diabetes insipidus

  • Adrenal glands: Pheochromocytoma, hyperaldosteronism (Conn syndrome), hypoaldosteronism, hyperadrenokortisolism (Cushing syndrome), Morbus Addison, adrenal gland carcinoma, incidental tumor, adrenogenital syndrome (AGS)

  • Genetically caused diseases: Adrenogenital syndromes (AGS), haemochromatosis, Klinefelter syndrome, multiple endocrine neoplasias (MEN1), pheochromocytoma, porphyrias, Prader-Willi syndrome, Turner syndrome, Von-Hippel-Lindau syndrome (VHL)

  • Hormone disorders in men / women: Menopause, hypogonadism, PCO syndrome / polycystic ovarian syndrome, hirsutism, fertility disorders, adrenogenital syndrome (AGS), loss of libido, aging

  • Paediatric endocrinology: In collaboration with PD Dr. med. Annette Richter-Unruh and Dr. med. Andreas Schuster the MVZ Dr. Eberhard & Partner Dortmund 2012 started the Hormonzentrum für Kinder & Jugendliche as a professional association. 

The centre treats endocrinological disorders in childhood/adolescent years: among others growth disorders, bone diseases, adipositas, eating disorders, puberty disorders, hirsutim, disorders in sexual identity, diseases of the pituitary gland, thyroid gland, adrenal gland, metabolic diseases, diabetes mellitus or genetic syndromes (Prader-Willi syndrome, Ullrich-Turner syndrome).
